Versace next for H&M

After a successful collaboration with Lanvin, H&M takes the luxury, Italian designer Versace for a spin. It’s got fashion fanatics talking and even Donatella Versace looking forward to the debut of this beautiful collection and it’s public reaction.

“The collection for H&M is the essence of Versace,” says Versace, “It’s a moment in fashion.” With it’s bold colors, bright patterns and daring cuts, this collection screams Versace and is sure to stand out from the rest.

The collection includes a studded leather jacket, a fur vest with a belt, dresses, strappy sandals and many sizzling accessories that will make it impossible for fans to resist.

H&M plans to release the Versace collection in Canada and the U.S. November 19th at select stores. But don’t expect a quiet crowd, get yourself in line if you want a chance to get your hands on this hot topic collection.

All That Glitters

Before the Halloween decorations are even taken off of the shelves, the Christmas ones are already being put onto shelves. This scares me to think snow its on its wait, I can wait a while for that but I cant wait for the holidays! Love and warmth all around, we can finally break into our closet and take out all that glitters. As the holidays approach we scramble to find presents, décor and the trending fashions. This winter add a little glitz and glam to your wardrobe .Now trending are knits with sequence, the famous little black dress with a slight appliqué and a killer pair of sequence pumps. GORGEOUS.

With a beautiful pair of red sequence Christian Louboutin pumps there is no doubt you won’t turn a few heads. This beautiful pump is already the life of the party, pair if with a simple black dress and accessorize with a splash of red.

Who says holiday or cocktail dress have to be black? I’m in love with this dress! This fabulous all over sparkle is a beautiful addition for any holiday party and not to mention flattering with the defining waist tie!

These Boots Were Made For Walkin’

Halloween has come and gone and the leaves are falling faster and faster. You know what that means, winters around the corner. This brings mixed emotions for me. On the one hand, snow is beautiful-- especially watching big the flakes fall. On the other hand, travel can become a nightmare.

If you’re like me, you walk everywhere in the city of Toronto all year long. There’s nothing worse than walking on the slushy sidewalk and getting your feet wet. Every day last year my boots absorbed more water than I drank! So, when I was introduced to the Australian brand MoovBoots, by my friends at The Gingerich Group, it was love at first sight! MoovBoots are made by hand from high quality natural latex and have a 100% Australian Merino sheepskin lining, making them super warm, comfy and durable.

Falling For Fall

I’ve spent these last few weeks watching the leaves change color and fall trends hit the streets. Oh we fancy huh! When I started college, I thought time was at a still, it was like it would never end, all the months blended together and the seasons never changed, I just wanted it to end so I wouldn’t miss a minute, night or weekend with my family, boyfriend or friends and now before I know it I am 2 months away from graduating and the season trends are bouncing off the wall, the doors are open and my closet is gushing. There’s orange, yellow, red and purple everywhere and OH WOW the knits and crochets, so cozy, makes me want to crawl up and smile, smile, smile. And Heck all a girl needs is a cute pair of tall boots, simple jeans and a plain top that’s dressed up with scarf’s, headbands, socks and sweaters oh yeah, Fall is FABULOUS!

Potato Your Face

My sister and I have fairly good skin. We get the occasional acne blemish, but it's nothing we don't take care of right away. What our problem is, is the occasionally acne scar that is left behind. We've tried soaps, cleansers, lotions and even dermatologist recommended products. There wasn't much results.

I was watching YouTube videos, when I saw a title that caught my attention, "How Did I Get Rid of Acne Scar Naturally in 3 Days!". Interested, I clicked on it. Her secret was potatoes. Taking a raw potato and cut 4 thin slices from it. Take those slices and rub them all over your face. Let it sit on your face for 15 minutes, then wash off your face with your usually cleanser. You would do this twice a day, for 3 days.

Some research lead me to an online article, "Give thanks for the humble spud". Turns out potatoes are stalked up on vitamins and minerals that your body and skin are greedy for. What I understood, there are compound in these spuds that help to lighten dark mark in the skin. The same compounds are being use in many cosmetics and anti-aging products. The biggest upside, potatoes are safe to use on all skin types.

We decide to try this organic and natural alternative. I haven't been very faithful to the cause, but my sister has. What we noticed right away that was that are skin had become much softer. The scars on my face were never that dark to begin with, but there had been a noticeable change in my sisters appearance. She's been using this process for more than three days, but she's not complaining.

If it works, it works.

Eating well – was not a hit with me. I loved everything I was not supposed to and did so from the heart. Let’s put it into perspective – Coca Cola was my water, Red Bull was my coffee and the food court, my kitchen. Happily I lived with an unhealthy lifestyle until a reality check came with a doctor’s note. But really, it’s not that bad – just a liver and intestine infection, sulphur, iron, Vitamin C, calcium and protein deficiency coupled with some poor circulation – really, I’m still walking. From the way I ate before to suddenly eliminating dairy, wheat, yeast, sugar, starch, red meat, raw fish, certain fruits, peanut butter and corn products – meal times were a little bleak not to mention challenging. Dining out since has not been such an easy task.

But then I found Fresh – a delicious, nutritious vegan/vegetarian restaurant that offers detoxifying juices such as liver flushes and meals that cater to all your dietary needs. Despite the packed house, it was worth the wait as I sat down to my finally worry free meal. Truly ironic that through my trials, tribulations and let’s not forget, deficiencies, I found the perfect love in a restaurant that’s perfect for me and perfectly Fresh.

Yes, Halloween has past us once again and although you may not want to believe it, the holidays are quickly creeping towards us; which alludes to more than your wallet being temporarily spoken for. It also leads makeup junkies to squeal with excitement in the anticipation of the Holiday Collections -- my favorite collections of the year.
