I first heard about Caviar Manicures through makeup guru Michelle Phan when she had instagrammed a photo of her wearing it on her nails. This look first came when models in Cushie et Och’s Fall 2011 fashion show were seen sporting this look on their nails. Caviar Manicure’s is an Avant-garde look that adds a 3-D affect to your nails. Ciate a UK nail polish brand just created a kit that has been released online and in Sephora stores in 3 different bead colors; rainbow, mother of pearl, and black pearls. However with this upcoming trend the downfall is that the kit costs $25 and only stays on your nails for 48 hours. The question is will this nail trend last as long as the caviar on your nails or will people look past the down fall and caviar their nails.

Donna Karan opens first PureDKNY store

Donna Karan has opened its first PureDKNY store in Los Angeles, in the Westfield Century City shopping center. The store measures 2,500 sqft. and is the first of what could be several locations for PureDKNY, reported Women's Wear Daily.

PureDKNY specializes in relaxed clothes and launched in 1999. This weekend also saw DKNY open a 590 sqft. travel retail store for small leather goods and handbags at the Atlanta Airport.

Carol Sharpe, the President of DKI retail, told WWD it made sense to try PureDKNY in Los Angeles because it is a lifestyle-driven city where work attire isn’t as formal as New York and PureDKNY could potentially build a large clientele for weekday as well as weekend dressing. “We toyed with what the right concept was for L.A., and we thought the relaxed concept was right,” said Sharpe.

Prices for PureDKNY are mostly are under $300, but range from $100 for knits to $1,000 for leather items. The shop at Westfield Century City is currently only slated to be open for a year but Sharpe said she’d like to see it become a permanent fixture of the shopping centre.
