DVF Loves Roxy Swimwear

The count down is on to summer, and also to the launch of the latest Roxy swim collection. The popular women’s surf company has a history of teaming up with current designers. In 2010 they launched a limited edition line of Cynthia Rowley vintage inspired swimwear. This season, they have collaborated with the ultra cool Diane Von Furstenberg to produce functional swimwear in fresh colours.

The collection is comprised of rash guards, bikinis, surf shorts, and one piece suits that are not only fun and flirty, but completely practical and technical for hitting a wave. Floral cutout one pieces, tribal print bikinis, and zip vests, all done in pastels, combine DVF’s bold prints and Roxy’s surfer chic vibes effortlessly. The collection combines the tranquil feeling of the ocean and beach with a strong athletic, yet feminine undertone.

Furstenberg drew inspiration from the days she used to spend on the beach amongst the surfer girls, and the strength and determination it took to become the woman she wanted to be. This collection portrays exactly that; empowering women and following your heart. As Diane’s mother told her “Fear is not an option.”  So let the sea feed your soul and ride the wave, and this summer there is no better way do it then in DVF loves Roxy style.

The collection drops March 7th 2013 and is in limited quantities. Head over to http://www.roxy.com/shop/index.jsp?categoryId=18841496 to get a sneak peek of what’s to come, Or stop into your local surf shop next week!
