Although fur has always been used as a glamorous statement piece or for some simply to warm, it has yet to fade. This winter we see fur of all kinds; long, short, faux and real on the run way as designers embrace it for the luxury it gives to every garment. Instead of the allover dramatic fur coats we once saw, we begin to see fur used as details.
Gucci Fall/Winter 2011 embraces real fur throughout the collection and was a necessity to their 1970’s theme. Here we see a beautiful fur cuff added to a tailored jacket on the runway, my absolute favourite. Real fur may be controversial but the look is un comparable to faux. I believe if you use every part the way you should there is no shame.
