Festive Accessories
There are so many creative things to loose yourself in these days, things beyond imaginable. Just yesterday I was walking through the mall and I couldn’t help but notice the new “in” thing for Christmas – hair tinsel, yes that’s right not hair extensions not feather extensions but hair tinsel. Hair accessorizing couldn’t get much better for the new year now can it!
Its time to get festive, time to dance like no one is watching and add semi permanent accessories such as hair tinsel to transform your look.
Of course I stopped to see how it was all done and it seemed rather simple. Here are the simple instructions to transform your look from glamorous to CHIC.
Step 1 – Fold a strand of tinsel in half
Step 2 – Pinch the folded tinsel 2 to 3 inches from the top creating a look and hanging tail.
Step 3 – With opposite hand reach through the look to pull the tail of strands through (create a basic knot).
Step 4 – Slide the knot through no more then 3 pieces of hair and pull knot tight to seal at the scalp.
Step 5 – Have both the tinsel ends in one hand and the strands of hair in your other making a simple knot at the base of the hair shaft and release.
Step 6 – Take both tinsel ends and pull in opposite directions until you can feel a bit of tension. There should be a flat knot sitting on the scalp and the hair tinsel and strands should fall on the scalp in unity.
Step 7 – For just a one-night occasion just do one knot rather then the double knot.
Tis the season to be full of glam.
