Designer partnerships have reached phenomenal heights within the past couple of years, based on the power of collaborations with major department stores. With the round up of the Versace for H&M launch in November, consumers have had the opportunity to prepare themselves for the latest Jason Wu for Target collaboration; in addition to the upcoming Marni for H&M collection launching next week. Taking a step back into last week, Canadians were able to score some of the Jason Wu for Target line for a one day pop up shop, based on the anticipation for the launch of Target in Canada.
The much anticpated Marni for H&M campaign
Let's face it, Americans are and always have played a huge role in Canadian economy. Especially when it comes to retail. Although some may not exactly be proud that Target is coming to Canada, there isn't much that can be done to prevent it.
BUT, back to the pop-up shop! Rumours and potential launches flourish around the cyber community on a regular basis; leaving people like myself eager to know and see what these designers are able to whip up at affordable prices. We all know the power and creativity that reside in our favourite designers, but when challenged to create a collection that may not exactly give much freedom for expression; you start to wonder what the final results may be.
After looking at the Lookbook for Jason Wu for Target the pieces confirmed my love for the designer. Not only was the collection effortlessly put together, but it really granted consumers with the opportunity to score for amazing pieces for great prices.
