There's Something About Aggy

by: Kristie Scott

So I totally have a new girl crush. And its totally on the English supermodel Agyness Deyn.

Though usually peroxide-blonde, pixie-haircutted, and in her street style attire, Agyness (or Aggy for short) is an authentic chameleon. One second you may see her decked out in her oversized Clash t-shirt and black suspenders, looking all "punky" with her boy-cut spiked hair--the next you'll see her on the cover of Vogue, in an evening gown and Marilyn Monroe styled curls, encapsulating the essence of classic Hollywood glamour. What wows me is that she pulls off both...quite well, too.

But the plot to Agyness's intriguing style grows thicker. She created it by breaking all the rules, meanwhile taking the fashion world by storm. As Amanda Brooks describes, Agyness made everyone--including herself--remember how fun it is to witness a "true original."

This month Agyness appears alongside live cheetahs in an editorial entitled "White Mischief" in Vogue UK. Enjoy these beautiful shots taken by Tim Walker...
