Rocking the 2013 Award Season Red Carpet

As the 2013 award season is in full force with honoring the best in the movie and music industry, we have seen some seriously rocked out fashions on the red carpet. And for me personally, the red carpet has always been my favourite part of any award show, as I wait in anticipation to see who wore what, and this year was no exception. For me this season it just seems that both actors and signers have done an amazing job in rocking the red carpet.

At the 2013 Golden Globes, we saw Best Supporting Actress winner, Ann Hathaway for her role in Les Misérable, shine in an encrusted crystal white Chanel gown that was structured at the top and flared out ever so elegantly at the waistline. Her simple elegance was so perfect for such an event, and screamed winner as she rocked the carpet.

Actress, singer and entrepreneur, Jennifer Lopez always stands out for me when she in on any red carpet and what she wore at the 2013 Golden Globes and Grammy's Awards were no different. At the Globes Jennifer Lopez wore a long-sleeve cream laced Zuhair Murad grown that hugged her body perfectly. Lopez also looked elegant at the Grammy awards where she wore an exquisite black high-slit Anthony Vaccarello gown.

Another who grabbed hold of my attention was Les Misérable’s Amanda Seyfried. She rocked the 2013 Screen Actors Guild Awards in a magnificent Zac Posen formfitting mermaid silhouette with a ruffled hemline. She also adorned a pendant necklace by jewellery designer Lorraine Schwartz that made her sparkle from a far.

Many have characterized the 2013 Grammy’s red carpet as pushing the limits and that didn’t follow the Grammy's Dress Code that was placed this year. In my personal opinion, I saw that there was still a sense of elegance to the biggest night in the music industry. Carrie Underwood, Carly Rae Jepsen, Taylor Swift, and Beyoncé are just a few who rocked this years Grammy’s red carpet.

With what I have seen so far during this award season on the red carpet I wait eagerly with anticipation to the biggest night of the award season that being the 85^thAcademy Awards that are now just a few short days away.
