WHAT'S IN YOUR BAG?

Just because you have a designer bag doesn't make you a bagging' bitch; It's whats inside that counts... almost like the human soul. A bagging' bitch is someone who rocks their handbag from the inside-out. It's not the style of bag that counts, it's how trendy the objects inside of it are. Some seem to think the apocalypse may happen at any given moment, so they carry their entire life's needs with them, and others, travel light. We can tell a lot about a personality through the random findings inside people's handbags:

I'm no psychologist, but what I can tell you is that each of us is designed with distinct personality traits which render the process of our every decision. Every thought, attraction or emotion leads to a choice. So, what I want from you is to tell me, who's 'soul' is the trendiest, baggin' bitch of them all? Birkins Ablaze

If you keep up with reality TV or the lives of the rich and useless then you heard about Clint Eastwood's daughter Francesca attacking a $100,000 Hermès Birkin handbag with a chainsaw before setting it on fire. It was all for art (thanks to Franny's avant-garde boyfriend), but the act offended many -- just think how far $100,000 can go in the real world. 

Well, according to Hermès themselves, the act of burning Birkins may not be as silly as it sounds. Should an Hermes bag have a single fault, it meets an untimely demise in the burner. Perfection is a word synonymous with the pricey designer name, but does that mean they should create such waste due to minor imperfections? The Top Handle is Taking Over

It seems that the top handle purse has always been around, but this spring season it seems even more prevalent than ever. With brands like Yves St Laurent, Prada, Michael Kors, Max Mara and the always classic Louis Vuitton (all pictured below) showing their interpretation of the top handle. I personally prefer the top handle over an over the shoulder handbag because of the functionality, space, and utility and it seems that so do designers.

The term purse or handbag originally referred to a small bag for holding coins and have been around since the 14th century, but a lot has changed since the then. Handbags were originally made from leather, but today they can be made from all kinds of materials. This season leather,lace and calfskin are prominent, which means that handbags are finally making the leap from fashion to functional. For years we have seen handbags that are first of all tiny, and secondly unusable because of the materials used (primarily Chanel’s lambskin, the fabric is so soft that it can be easily stained and marked). But this year there seems to be a turn around and not just with handbags. Designers are proving the point that fashion, comfort, and functionality can go hand-in-hand. Which is how I think fashion should always be viewed. But I digress, the handbag has always been a very crucial part of any season and any outfit so whats your favorite type of handbag? Hobo, tote, shoulder, or this season top handle?
